Ori and the Will of the Wisps is aangekondigd tijdens de E3 2017 persconferentie van Microsoft.
De game is het vervolg op Ori and the Blind Forest. De game heeft nog geen officiële releasedatum. Wel laat Microsoft weten dat Ori and the Will of the Wisps een Xbox Play Anywhere-titel is.
De trailer toont een emotionele scène, vergezeld door een pianosoundtrack.
